DIY Trademark™ FAQs
How long does it take to get a registered trademark?The entire process takes about a year and a half to register your trademark. To receive a response from the Trademark Office takes between 10 months to a year in our experience. So, the sooner you file the better. Early filings put you in the earliest position possible in the proverbial trademark line. In the meantime, for DIY+™ and DIY Attorney, ™ we monitor your trademark and let you know when we hear from the Trademark Office.
Can I prepare and file a trademark my own?Yes, you can! It takes some time and effort but if you are willing to learn you can file it yourself and the process will be less expensive than using an attorney. If you don’t want to do every step there are “a la carte” service, one of our qualified attorneys is ready to help you move to the next step.
